Some Vinnie For The Weekend!

Hello All -

I was checking around and stumbled upon this video at Michael Sembello's site. Someone turned us on quite a while ago to the fact that Michael had all of his songs from a few albums on his site for free download. I did, and became a fan of Michael's music, mostly because Vinnie, Gregg and Carlos Vega are on there.

Well, long story (too late) there is a video that I was never able to access when I had dial-up in the states. Now, I have ADSL and was able to finally view the videos. Nice surprise: there is some concert footage with Vinnie playing some nice material. A good little solo,some face time, and a mullet!?!?! Vinnie, say it ain't so!

The video was definitely pre 2000 and the credits list Vinnie as a songwriter/drummer. If this was ever posted, my apologies, but, I am pretty frequent and have never heard mention of it.

Thanks man, I too became a fan thanks to Carlos. It all seemed quite dated now though to look at him now. A little bit Spinal Tap in the documentary footage. People joke about this sort of thing now... The "Ring Of Fire", if I didn't know better, I'd have cracked up!!!

Hey, but did you guys see the solo that Vinnie did with Paulinho Da Costa? It wasn't the greatest Vinnie moment ever, but there were a couple of nice licks... if you like that sort of thing!

Yeah, there is a weird hippy vibe to that entire site. I agree, and I had to endure it for the sake of Vince.
